i found out that rupert brooke was in ww1, he died on the 23rd of April 1915, he died from sepsis, which is a infection of the blood, rupert got trench foot and it got infected, he ended up in hospital and died at the age of 27, he wrote his poem "the soldier" because he thought he was going to die in the war, his poems where written during the war, but they have no pesific place, this has helped me to understand the poem so that i can think about his emotions to war...
we think that the poem is easier to understand now i know that he written it in the first world war and that his religion is nature and now we now for good that hes enlgish it makes the poem better and now we know what its about and why he write it like that.

Poem A: My understanding of the poem is that this lady 'Marguerite Rami' feels strongly about people dying at war, the way she writes makes you think she might have lost soomeone she loves to war, making her writing seem first hand/real.
